Overview
Doodhpathri, also known as "The Valley of Milk," is another beautiful tourist destination located in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is situated about 42 kilometers from Srinagar, the capital city of Jammu and Kashmir. Doodhpathri is a serene meadow surrounded by dense forests of pine and deodar trees, snow-capped mountains, and gushing streams. The name "Doodhpathri" is derived from the local belief that the meadows here produce abundant milk, which contributes to the lush greenery and rich pastures. The meadows indeed look like a vast expanse of a milky-white carpet during the spring and summer months when numerous wildflowers bloom.Sights
